Seeking Spiritual Truth

Many believe there are multiple roads that lead to God and Heaven.  The bible teaches that there is only one road that leads to God.  John 14:6 Jesus states; "I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father but by me."  That pretty much sums it up and doesn't leave much open for interpretation. Romans 10:9 states; "If you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."  God keeps it pretty simple and for good reason.  Reading other beliefs into these passages gets us into trouble.

Ephesians 6:12 describes our situation perfectly.  "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."   We are in a spiritual and psychological war now, impossible to fight if we are not awake to the truth.

With all the chaos, wars, loss of freedoms and liberties, murders, corruption, health problems, natural and man made disasters etc, we need hope.  Without hope, we are doomed. Unfortunately we are led to believe by the main stream media and Hollywood that hope and happiness comes from material possessions, holding positions of power, finding the perfect mate, looking like that certain Hollywood star or so called hero, getting that perfect job, the list goes on and on.

The TV, which must be one of Satan's favorite tools, has brainwashed us with lies, deception, mind control.  We need to seek hope in God.  Isaiah 40:31 states; "....but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like Eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."  This is the hope that will carry us through the most difficult of circumstances.  All other hope is built on sand.

We must first get right spiritually which begins with a relationship with our creator, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; Romans 10:9 says; "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."

Is America Mystery Babylon?

Many believe that America is not mentioned or prophesied in the bible.  Under close analysis   America actually fits the mold quite well.  Tim McHyde does a great job of reasoning through this and answering 6 objections to this issue.

TRUNEWS 04/20/16 Michael Snyder | Discussing the Pre-Trib Rapture
What does the Bible teach about the end times tribulation? Can the Body of Christ have an honest debate about pre, mid, and post rapture doctrine without erupting into virulent opposition? That’s the subject of today’s edition of TRUNEWS, as Rick Wiles is joined by author and publisher Michael Snyder; to discuss how we can best serve the Lord until our last days.

How Will The Shocking Decline Of Christianity In America Affect The Future Of This Nation?

Is Christianity in decline in America?  When you examine the cold, hard numbers it is simply not possible to come to any other conclusion.  Over the past few decades, the percentage of Christians in America has been steadily declining.  This has especially been true among young people.  As you will see later in this article, there has been a mass exodus of teens and young adults out of U.S. churches.  In addition, what "Christianity" means to American Christians today is often far different from what "Christianity" meant to their parents and their grandparents.  Millions upon millions of Christians in the United States simply do not believe many of the fundamental principles of the Christian faith any longer.  Without a doubt, America is becoming a less "Christian" nation.  This has staggering implications for the future of this country.  The United States was founded primarily by Christians that were seeking to escape religious persecution.  For those early settlers, the Christian faith was the very center of their lives, and it deeply affected the laws that they made and the governmental structures that they established.  So what is the future of America going to look like if we totally reject the principles that this nation was founded on?click here to continue

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the biggest reason America is in the mess that it’s in today is directly due to the apathy and indifference of the American pulpit. I am reminded of what Charles Finney, the famed 19th Century revivalist, said: “If there is a decay of conscience, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the public press lacks moral discernment, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the church is degenerate and worldly, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the world loses its interest in Christianity, the pulpit is responsible for it. If Satan rules in our halls of legislation, the pulpit is responsible for it. If our politics become so corrupt that they very foundations of our government are ready to fall away, the pulpit is responsible for it.”

Our second President, John Adams, put it this way: “It is the duty of the clergy to accommodate their discourses to the times, to preach against such sins as are most prevalent, and recommend such virtues as are most wanted. For example, if exorbitant ambition and venality are predominate, ought they not to warn their hearers against those vices? If public spirit is much wanted, should they not inculcate this great virtue? If the rights and duties of Christian magistrates and subjects are disputed, should they not explain them, show their nature, ends, limitations, and restrictions, howmuchsoever it may move the gall of Massachusetts?”Click here to continue...

The Rapture Problem

Why Pastors Won’t Take A Stand

To review, most pastors refuse to take a stand because:

1. They are success oriented and have an innate aversion to anything that is considered to be controversial. And, to them, there is nothing more controversial than politics.

2. They are afraid that if they take a controversial stand, they will lose members--and more importantly, tithes and offerings. Most churches are neck-deep in debt and are heavy-laden with staff and overhead. The thought of losing even a few giving families is enough intimidation to make sure that they do nothing to offend the people of the congregation. And since the pastor never addresses controversial issues or preaches “hard” sermons, his congregation is filled with people who harbor myriads of big-government, socialist ideas and would immediately bolt at any mention of Biblical Natural Law principles that ran counter to their leftist ideologies.

1. Feeding on the Word -- DAILY Nutrition

A healthy baby has a healthy appetite. If you have truly been "born" of the Spirit of God, you will have a healthy appetite. The Bible says, "As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby," (1 Peter 2:2). Feed yourself every day without fail. Job said, "I have treasured the words of His mouth More than my necessary food," (Job 23:12). The more you eat, the quicker you will grow, and the less bruising you will have. Speed up the process and save yourself some pain -- vow to read God's Word every day, without fail. Say to yourself, "No Bible, no breakfast. No read, no feed." Be like Job, and put your Bible before your belly. If you do that, God promises that you will be like a fruitful, strong and healthy tree (see Psalm 1). Each day, find somewhere quiet, and thoroughly soak your soul in the Word of God.click here to continue
